The Aztecs used to season their famous chocolate drink with vanilla. The vanilla pod is the fruit of an orchid species which has its home in Mexico. The hand-pollinated blossoms produce ripe fruits after eight months and are then treated in a complicated fermentation process. • Taste: The pods change color and develop their full aroma. The exquisite, intense and very popular taste of vanilla harmonizes marvelously with our black tea blend. • Ingredients: black tea, flavoring, vanilla pieces (0.5 %) Brewing: Bring fresh water to a boil, add one tea bag to one 8 oz cup or 2 cup teapot, tea for one, filled with hot water allow the tea to steep for 5-7 minutes. 1 Qt. size add to 32 oz and up capacity teapot, let brew for 7-10 mins or desired strength and remove tea bag when ready to serve. Iced tea: in an iced tea maker (see item 41778) or large heat proof pitcher or teapot, brew 1 qt. bag as directed above and allow to cool on the counter before refrigerating. For sweet tea, start with 1/3 to ¼ cup of sugar, add hot water stir to dissolve, then add the tea bag to complete the brewing process. When creating an iced tea concentrate, after following the instructions above and cooled, keep the tea bag in the container and brew up to 24 hours in the refrigerator. Use within 2-3 days by adding cold filtered water and ice, lemon slices, or other fruits as desired by the glass or pitcher. Sip and enjoy Cornucopia's tea hot or over ice!
